2022 Jeep Compass Dominates Safety
Jeep does it again, earning another safety award from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) for this year! The 2022 Jeep Compass earned itself a TOP SAFETY PICK rating from IIHS, which is applied to models that come equipped with LED projectors or LED reflector headlamps when paired with high-beam assist. The company earned the highest possible ratings in each of six IIHS crashworthiness tests, another major contributor to the vehicle dominating other vehicles with its impressive standard safety features.
Jeep’s Award-Winning Safety Features
Jim Morrison, vice president, Jeep brand North America expressed his admiration for the Jeep company and its vehicles by saying this: “The new 2022 Jeep Compass demonstrates our steadfast commitment to customer satisfaction. The Compass blends exceptional active and passive safety features with legendary Jeep 4×4 capability. The result is outstanding value for our customers and their families.”
The Compass received its TOP SAFETY PICK rating from its stellar performance during the six IIHS crashworthiness tests that included three types of frontal crashes. The remaining tests evaluated its behavior during a side impact, rear impact, and a rollover. The 2022 Jeep Compass managed to receive the highest possible score in every single one of those categories. An even greater achievement for the vehicle was that its automatic emergency braking technology – Full-speed Forward Collision Warning with Active Braking – was able to receive the highest possible rating of “superior”. Its Pedestrian/Cyclist Automatic Emergency Braking system was rated as “advanced”. Jeep has been delivering phenomenal safety in every single category, and shows that it will continue to do so for time to come.
Both features that it received high rankings in, and are standard equipment within the 2022 Jeep Compass, were designed in order to detect imminent collisions and, in certain conditions, can even automatically apply the vehicle’s brakes if needed. These safety features are just two among the 75 available safety and security features that are offered, which include Active Lane Management and Rear Cross Path detection. These features are just a few of the reasons why sales for the U.S Compass sales were up 22 percent in the first quarter of this year, even with a challenging market.
