2023 Easter Jeep Safari Boasts an Exciting Lineup of Off-Roaders

Every year, Jeep displays a slew of concepts exploring innovative notions for possible new variants, new aftermarket parts, and what can be done with existing ones. Jeep has showcased its seven concept vehicles for 2023, including two that demonstrate ideas inspired by the grand assortment of Jeep Performance Parts. All of the concepts are capable of being driven, and a few of Jeep’s notions could even see production. They are currently being exhibited at the 2023 Easter Jeep Safari in Moab, Utah, from April 1-9.
Jeep Wrangler Magneto 3.0 Concept
This marks the third iteration of a battery-electric Wrangler. Magneto first appeared in 2021, and Jeep has made it its mission to boost the power each year. Magneto 3.0 features a more efficient axial flux motor that produces 285 horsepower in its standard mode and 650 horsepower in all its rock-crawling prowess. Torque increases from a maximum of 273 pound-feet in 2021 to 850 pound-feet in 2022 to 900 pound-feet in 2023. It all rides on brawny front and rear axles, which are Dynatrac ProRock 60 and ProRock 80 units, respectively.
Jeep Scrambler 392 Concept
This vehicle’s underpinnings are focused on a four-door Rubicon, but it receives a new body that transforms into a small two-door pickup truck. Carbon fiber was utilized for the front flares, the hood, the roof, and the rear quarter panels, and the tailgate and rear of the automobile originated from the Gladiator, though the rear fender flares were widened. Like the Magneto, the Scrambler 392 Concept has a windshield laid back 12 degrees for a chopped-top appearance.
1978 Jeep Cherokee 4xe Concept
This automobile is a 1978 Cherokee body modified to a Wrangler Rubicon 4xe chassis and equipped with 37-inch mud terrain tires. The modern groundwork includes the 4xe powertrain, which consists of a 2.0-liter turbo-4 engine and two electric motors. The body was altered to function smoothly with the tires, to fit the chassis, and to improve the overall aesthetic. It utilizes the Wrangler Rubicon’s metal bumper with a winch, and the tires are mounted on ’70s-style slotted mags but in a modern 17-inch size.
Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 4xe Concept
This vehicle is a serious off-roader with flair. It features a new magenta color that follows the Tuscadero pink Jeep introduced in 2021. It adds greater intensity to the color palette and resembles a purple hue indoors and bright pink in the sunlight. Gloss-black accents offset it. The off-roading features include 37-inch mud terrain tires on American Expedition Vehicles (AEV) Beadlock wheels, AEV bumpers, a spare tire carrier, and an AccuAir suspension that can raise the ground clearance. Half doors and a power top are utilized to increase outdoor access.
Grand Wagoneer Overland Concept
The first Grand Wagoneer to appear at the Easter Safari is an overlanding concept that the brand structured to represent comfort and adventure. The full-size SUV sports larger wheel openings and custom wheel flares to accommodate 35-inch mud terrain tires that provide a 1.5-inch lift. Under the hood resides the high-output 510-horsepower iteration of the Hurricane twin-turbo 3.0-liter inline-6 engine. The exterior displays custom front and rear fascias and Industrial Green paint with gunmetal accents.
Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 4xe Departure Concept
The Departure is a Wrangler Rubicon 4xe with flat fenders that increase clearance for the 37-inch all-terrain tires. It also has a Warn winch, rock rails, 11.0-inch TYRI lights, a 2.0-inch lift kit from the Sideburn, a headlight and grille guard, and Molle panels in the rear.
Jeep Gladiator Rubicon Sideburn Concept
The Sideburn Gladiator was constructed to put Jeep Performance Parts on display. It is braced up front by a headlight and grille guard that folds down to act as a bench, and it is packaged to function with a Warn winch. The doors are replaced with half-doors, and 11.0-inch TYRI rectangular LED lights have been installed on each roof panel. A 2.0-inch lift kit with Bilstein remote-reservoir shock absorbers improves off-road capability and allows 37-inch tires.
