Assembling a production drag racing ready muscle car that generates a beastly 1,025 horsepower was not enough for Dodge. The manufacturer recently announced a new line of after-purchase products for 2023 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon 170 customers, permitting further track readiness and customization. Indeed, the Dodge Challenger Demon 170 owner’s club is already an exclusive venue.

There are 3,300 vehicles planned for production, but to add even more exclusivity to the equation, Dodge has a handful of items that only Demon 170 owners can purchase. Billed as “after-delivery products,” they range from special badges to car covers and a decanter set. The automaker, however, just added more products to the mix that can be bought separately. There are 11 items total, available from Dodge only after the Challenger reaches its owner. To clarify, the customer must call the Dodge SRT concierge line to verify vehicle ownership and register for some or all of the products.

Ordering Availability

The window of opportunity opens on September 6th, 2023, and consumers will have until September 6th, 2024–exactly one year–to place their order. One of the items available for purchase is a custom Goodwool car shell. This highly tailored unit fits flawlessly and features the Demon 170 muscle car’s unique graphic treatment on its surface.

In addition, a custom satin-stretch indoor car cover will be available for $695. A convenient characteristic of the cover is that it stretches in all directions and molds to the contours of the Challenger SRT Demon 170. Large SRT Demon 170 logos are also prominent on the sides of the automobile, and “170” is showcased on the front and rear fascia areas.

Other Items to Consider

For those who want more carbon fiber, a trunk organizer is available for $899. The same price gets buyers a parachute release kit with a leather-wrapped handle, a cable, a floor mount/bracket, hardware, and an actuator. Interestingly, the parachute mounting kit is sold separately.

For those few Demon 170 owners who put 1,025 horsepower to good use on a regular basis, the Direct Connection parachute kit will make all the difference when it is time to shut down the vehicle at 150 miles per hour on some of the more challenging tracks. As a matter of fact, even the most avid Demon 170 racers will appreciate not having to cleave their new car to add a parachute since the Direct Connection item is a bolt-on feature. The kit includes a parachute pack mount, a rear bumper support, a powder-coated support bar, a powder-coated pack mount, and more. Of note, a parachute is not included. The harness bar that sells for $1,389 is ideal for drivers who race on a regular basis, as the item neatly bolts into place.

It is worth noting that a large complement of Jay Leno’s Garage car care products is included with the purchase of the Demon 170. That said, the Direct Connection trunk organizer is a useful carbon-fiber caddy that is molded to fit in the trunk while holding all required car show detailing products and tools. It is also an excellent match for the Direct Connection rear seat delete carbon-fiber closeout panels.
