Throughout February 2024, the updated 2024 Jeep Gladiator has slowly been arriving on dealer lots across the United States. However, the American adventurer brand refrained from any official information, except for a small notice to the press that the debut of the updated model had begun at the Toledo Assembly Complex, and that was days after sources posted that the pickup truck was arriving at its dealers. Nevertheless, now Jeep is prepared to officially begin its new campaign for the 2024 Gladiator, hoping that it will be an improvement over last year’s (2023) relatively uninspiring results. As such, the automaker has formally released its starting prices for its updated midsize pickup and officially updated its Build & Price configurator on its website.

Trim Modifications

Entry-level and mid-tier Gladiator trims will see lower prices for the 2024 model year. For example, the base Gladiator Sport now has a starting price tag of $37,895 MSRP (excluding $1,895 destination fee), a $1,725 drop from 2023. The most significant decrease goes to the Sport S with a sharper $41,395 MSRP (excluding destination charges), $3,085 less than last year (2023). Meanwhile, the more off-road-friendly Willys Gladiator goes from $47,030 MSRP (excluding destination fee) to $44,995 MSRP (excluding destination fee), a $2,035 cut.

Moreover, for 2024, the Gladiator received a modest update, allowing the truck more capability, more standard features, the latest technology, and even more elegance. The lineup has expanded with the new luxurious ā€œXā€ variants of the popular Mojave and Rubicon. Bill Peffer, senior vice president and head of Jeep brand North America, described the alterations in greater detail, stating, ā€œThe new 2024 Jeep Gladiator delivers unmatched capability and value in the only midsize truck that gives customers true open-air freedom.ā€ He added, ā€œThis new Gladiator delivers a more refined and technologically advanced interior with available 12-way power seats and improved safety with standard side-curtain airbags for a starting U.S. MSRP less than $38,000 with more content and a lower starting MSRP than the truck it replaces.ā€

As mentioned, the Sport S now provides standard front- and second-row side-curtain airbags, adaptive cruise control with stop, standard forward collision warning, and a new best-in-class standard 12.3-inch Uconnect 5 touchscreen display unit. Fans of the beloved off-road-oriented Willys trim will be ecstatic to know that it delivers more capability with standard Off-Road+ and rear locking differential for improved traction.Ā

Upscale Updates

Optimizing vehicle parameters for off-roading, including transmission shift points, throttle, and traction control, Off-Road+ produces peak performance on any trail. When utilized in 4HI, Off-Road+ optimizes settings for higher-speed conditions, such as mud and sand, and also allows the Tru-Lok rear electronic locking differential to be locked for improved performance. Conversely, in 4LO, Off-Road+ optimizes settings for low-speed conditions such as rock crawling.

Gone is the luxury-oriented Overland trim for 2024. Instead, the Mojave and Rubicon get an all-new ā€œXā€ package. The ā€œXā€ package adds features like a body-color hardtop, Nappa leather seats, an integrated off-road camera, navigation, the much-welcomed addition of 12-way power-adjustable front seats, and steel bumpers. The 2024 Jeep Gladiator continues on with the 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 engine across the lineup. The Pentastar accelerates up to 285 horsepower and generates a maximum 260 pound-feet of torque.
