Cars.com Recognizes the Chrysler Pacifica as a Top-Five Family-Friendly Vehicle

Cars.com strikes again, this time the publication is putting the Chrysler Pacifica model at the top of the class, listing the minivan as a top-five family-friendly vehicle. Recognized for its spacious seating, Uconnect infotainment system, and available sunroof options, Cars.com deemed the Pacifica a worthy vehicle of transporting children to the classroom this school year, even amidst the ongoing pandemic. All of the previously mentioned features encourage distancing between occupants and provide substantial airflow increases. 

This latest honor from Cars.com is an addition to the Chrysler Pacifica’s 135 — and counting — accolades as the vehicle is often recognized for its ideal family friendliness. Earlier this year (2020), PARENTS magazine deemed the Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid as the winner of its 2020 Best Family Cars award, while Good Housekeeping, along with Car and Driver, bestowed its 2020 Best New Family Car honors on the redesigned 2021 Chrysler Pacifica. 

Cars.com created the Top-Five Family-Friendly vehicles list to coincide with the release of its new survey data that highlights how parents are handling safe back-to-school transportation. According to Cars.com, parents with children that are bound to return to school are looking to avoid crowded school buses and public transit, with 55 percent of parents apparently planning on driving children to classrooms themselves. The same survey noted that up to 22% of participants are planning to carpool with other families as well, and that the number of consumers searching online for nifty features such as sunroofs has increased as well. 

“Back to school looks very different for families this year because of the ongoing pandemic. Because of this, parents are turning to their personal vehicles as the best mode of transport for kids returning to in-person learning. The spacious interior to carry extra supplies or snacks and digital features to entertain while traveling to-and-from school and beyond,” said Jenni Newman, editor-in-chief, Cars.com. 

Thanks to its standard seven- and available eight-passenger seating, the Chrysler Pacifica is a perfect candidate for socially-distanced family transportation options. Parents can also enjoy peace of mind thanks to the Stow ‘n Go second-row in-floor storage bins that allow additional space for kids to store textbooks, supplies, bookbags and more — all while limiting the spread of germs and keeping their school stuff contained. Any kid-generated messes are no match for the Pacifica as it also features an available Stow ‘n Vac option in which a vacuum cleaner is included in the minivan for easy clean-up. The Chrysler Pacifica also offers the latest in advanced safety technology, offering buyers more than 100 standard and available safety features, including five LATCH child seat positions.
