2022 Chrysler Pacifica Adds More Entertainment Features While Voyager Minivan Converts to Fleet Sales Only
Minivans are one of the most practical and reliable vehicles for active families, especially for long-distance road trips. The 2022 Chrysler Pacifica combines the latest infotainment features and technology, making this vehicle a great purchase! As Chrysler narrows down its marketing strategy for the next several months and into next year, the company focuses on two consumer groups: the family-oriented buyer and fleet buyers. Concerning its more affordable counterpart, the 2022 Chrysler Voyager, regular vehicle buyers will no longer be offered. Instead, the company is aiming to sell the 2022 Voyager to fleet managers and business owners. This way, Chrysler is creating two sales funnels to increase unit sales.
The Fleet Sales Strategy
Chrysler made it official that the Voyager minivan is going fleet-only for the 2022 model year, and it’s for the better. Chrysler says it is planning to sell exclusively to rental car companies and other commercial fleet customers. In addition, there is only going to be one trim available for the Voyager, and that is the LX trim that comes with plenty of useful features such as automatic power-sliding doors, heated seats, and a heated steering wheel. An available safety package includes automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitors, parking sensors, and navigation.
Pricing and Vehicle Value
For Chrysler’s flagship minivan, the 2022 Pacifica, the vehicle brings a whole suite of exciting new features and improvements in the infotainment department. Chrysler has not released pricing figures for the new Pacifica just yet. Still, we expect it to stay relatively similar to the price of the 2021 model currently on the market, which is at $35,820 (plus destination fee). One of the many incredible benefits of owning a Pacifica is the excellent fuel economy it receives on the road, with 19 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the highway, which results in about 360 city miles and 530 highway miles. The Pacifica goes even further with the hybrid model that receives an EPA-estimated 82 mpg(e) and a maximum driving range of about 520 miles.
A New Entertainment Option
Chrysler is making the Pacifica the best minivan it can be for consumers, and it’s evident in the updated technology. What is new for the 2022 Pacifica is adding two Uconnect Theater Packages (one that comes with a single screen and the other with two), and both get Amazon Fire TV capability). The main screen in the center dash also displays video content when the vehicle is in park mode. It’s more of a refresh/update rather than a complete redesign or new model. Most of the other changes are small in scale, but worth mentioning, such as new exterior color options and an improved display that provides information on the battery status on the hybrid.
