First Ever Dodge Helljet Charger Made From Stratch Draws Attention
Westen Champlin’s channel on YouTube is where the uniquely modified Dodge Charger is showcased. Built out of love and using impressive Mopar parts to enhance the already powerful Dodge muscle sedan, the YouTuber has crafted quite the menace. For some people, the Dodge Demon would be adequately strong enough to keep those tire-burning desires pleased, but Westen determined to construct a Dodge Charger Hellcat with almost double the force Dodge provides customers with, that’s what took this car to a new level. They took a former Dodge police vehicle, ramped up the engine output from 370 horsepower from the mid-tier 5.7-Liter V8 engine to a brand new Hellcat engine that provides 707 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque.
Into the Dodge Helljet
The seventh-generation Dodge Charger has been around since 2011 to the present day with a refresh from 2015, the same model year as the one this team pumped up. Currently, the 2022 Dodge Charger begins from $33,000 MSRP (Plus destination fee) with a V6 under the hood, from $40,000 MSRP buyers can spec the 5.7-Liter V8 R/T version but at $75,000 MSRP the Hellcat sedan is available. Dubbed the HellJet, this monstrous invention carries a uniquely styled khaki green matt paint, a HellJet logo, marked 777 on the sides, and jet-fighter teeth behind the front wheels. Those wheels are in black, but the standout feature would have to be the bullhorns up front, though that’s still not all. We’ve already seen how Dodge owners can take their muscle car to the next level with the help from Dodge as ways have been outlined by us in the past.
How Much Horsepower Was Gained?!
Westen Champlin did a burnout inside a packed garage with exotic cars onlooking and has the breathtaking vehicle shown off with views from under the hood that reveal a massive new powertrain. The HellJet carries the most recent supercharged 6.2-Liter Hellcat V8 that has also been twin-turbocharged with a Hellion turbo kit for a total of 1300 total horsepower, that is 583 more ponies than granted on the standard Dodge Charger Hellcat. The entire build was all done from scratch, each part by part, and looks to have cost a pretty penny. For readers that want to know about Dodge, they should know this brand is investing for the future. Dodge has put billions into their brand and the future of their vehicles will be found with a heavy investment to make strides in the EV market.
