Dodge is moving quickly towards a new electric capacity lineup that will include the first-ever Dodge muscle car in 2024. The details regarding the Dodge muscle car to be named are starting to take shape. Those at Muscle Car & Trucks have found the documents filed with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) that reveal a pushrod suspension for electric vehicles using horizontal dampers with possible transverse leaf springs or traditional coil springs. The pushrods are connected to a wheel on one side and a continued rocker on the other. The dampers moved from a vertical to a horizontal position to save some room. Of course, a massive investment to help make this possible is how the brand will move ahead.

Dodge Is Exploring All Possibilities

We can clearly see this image is an electric motor fit for more efficient packaging according to the documents. We will see Dodge offer a new wave of options and alternatives for customers to love and embrace. These documents do show the Dodge brand as hoping to gain “the ability to arrange each steering axis along a direction passing through the wheel center gives the possibility of exploiting the very high torque provided by electric motors,” indicating that engineers had a performance application in mind.”

Next Moves By Dodge To Gain New Drivers

As for the future of Dodge EVs, we can expect super fast and able to handle the rigors of Dodge horsepower. Maybe not as strong as the one made by these men to build a wild 1,300 horsepower Charger, but we will see. While we do not know if the suspension design will fit with the Stellantis STLA modular EV platforms, but if this is a possibility, the Dodge muscle EVs of the future will be the right fit for this. This could be the end of the gasoline muscle car at some point with technology getting as good as it is currently. Dodge will show off a driveable concept of this electric Dodge muscle car later in 2022, with less than two years to go before we see the 2024 Dodge muscle EV. The in-line engines have already replaced the HEMI V8s, but we expect to see more upgrades across the Dodge lineup this decade as the brand moves in a new direction.

Others Are Not Built Like Dodge Muscle

As we can see by the numbers, the Ford Mustang and Chevrolet Camaro do not have as many options and sell less varieties of choices. The “L” or “T” trim from the rival brands don’t really sound as appealing as a “Hellcat Redeye” or “Scat Pack” choice. This is just one of the perks that has kept loyalty among the Dodge brand and its fanatics. While we witness the upcoming EV pledge being constructed for a 2024 model year and production run, we will see Dodge present a new surge of options and alternatives for shoppers to love and welcome.
