Dodge Adds Daytona Edition Package on Several Dodge Charger Trims

April 30th, 2020 by

Late last year (2019), Dodge announced the Charger SRT Hellcat Widebody Daytona 50th Anniversary Edition, a trim that’s limited to 501 units. Although it may feel difficult for prospective buyers to get behind the wheel of one of these special edition models, Mopar Insiders is reporting that Dodge just opened the order books for the Daytona Edition Package. The package is now available on the standard Charger Scat Pack and R/T trims.

When optioned with the Daytona Edition Package, both the Scat Pack and R/T trims get a black spoiler, a satin black Daytona graphic across the rear decklid and fenders, and a Mopar cold-air intake under the hood. Both trims also upgrade their respective side mirrors to a pair that automatically adjusts downward when the driver puts the transmission in reverse. Additionally, buyers can also enjoy an automatically-dimming driver’s side mirror.

On the inside, the Charger is clad with Nappa leather upholstery, heated front and rear seats, Daytona logos throughout the cabin, a power tilt and telescoping steering wheel, and a premium-stitched dash panel with gloss black instrument cluster rings. Additionally, the Daytona Edition package also includes upper and lower LED lighting in the front of the cabin, memory functions for the driver’s seat, outside mirrors, and radio, illuminated rear cupholders, and black-edge premium floor mats.

The Charger R/T rides on 20 x 9-inch Lights Out painted wheels, and includes a security alarm and a heated steering wheel. The Charger Scat Pack, on the other hand, rides on 20 x 9.5-inch forged and painted aluminum wheels. Satin Black decals on the roof and hood, along with a Daytona badge on the grille, round out the 2020 Charger Scat Pack Daytona Edition. The Scat Pack trim also offers luxxed up mirrors, not only powered and heated, but also designed to fold away and include a blind-spot warning. On the inside of the Scat Pack buyers will find a Daytona badge on the instrument panel along with other menacing Carbonite accents scattered throughout the cabin.

Prospective buyers can order the Daytona Edition Package in any of the 12 colors, including the recently-introduced Frostbite, Hellraisin, and Sinamon Stick — all-new options for 2020. The Daytona Edition Package adds $3,495 to the price of each trim, thus the 2020 Charger R/T Daytona comes to $41,385 (including the destination fee), while the 2020 Charger Scat Pack costs $44,985 (including the destination fee).
