Dodge Roadkill Nights

MotorTrend presents this year’s ultimate car festival of legal street racing in celebration of muscle car culture. In sponsorship with Dodge, the RoadKill Nights event is scheduled for August 14, 2021, in Pontiac Michigan on historic Woodward Avenue, a stretch of road that is 21 miles long. The list of activities includes drag racing, drift rides, track time, drag racing simulators, and burnouts. This is the perfect event for muscle car fans and racing enthusiasts to enjoy a day out with family and friends.

About RoadKill Nights

The event is produced by RoadKill, a brand of MotorTrend Group that is also a popular automotive-themed web show with episodes that are viewable on YouTube, on the MotorTrend App, and on MotorTrend TV. Additional information is available for spectator tickets, car show registration, drag racing registration, and much more at hotrod.com/events/roadkillnights.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there are capacity limits, rules, and regulations that event coordinators set in place to adhere to state and local health department guidelines intended to keep everyone safe. In other words, people who think of attending the event should buy their tickets as early as possible to confirm their spot. Outside the event, street racing is generally considered illegal because of the danger it poses. However, both Roadkill and Dodge make sure the fair and racing grounds are in a safe and controlled environment run by professionals that ensure road and track safety.

The all-day event starts from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. with drag racing starting at 11 a.m. For individuals unable to attend in person, there will be a live stream feed across a variety of social media channels so everyone can experience the excitement as the event unfolds.

Classic Drag Racing

In celebration of classic cars and car culture, Dodge invites everyone to experience the exhilarating and fun-filled activities at the RoadKill Muscle Car Festival and Car Show. Unlike other automotive events that are often limited to just viewing the cars, event-goers have the opportunity to drag race in front of spectators on historic Woodward Avenue as it is transformed from a 21-mile street into a 1/8-mile drag strip.

Build and Race Challenge

In collaboration with RoadKill, Dodge is taking it up a notch with a TV-versus-online build-and-race challenge. The challenge allows drivers to spec out their muscle cars to the extreme to find out who is faster on the track.

MotorTrend TV Celebrity Showdown

This year brings a new celebrity showdown event that provides four popular automotive social media influencers each with a Dodge Hellcat, $10,000 in cash for car modifications, and one task: to build drag racing machines capable of besting Eric Malone, star of MotorTrend’s series “Fastest Cars in the Dirty South,” in a drag race.
