Dodge Launches #TheMuscleBehindUs Social Campaign

April 23rd, 2020 by

As we continue to follow the ongoing social distancing guidelines, brands have sought to remain relevant and creative while honing in on feelings of empathy as we go through an unprecedented time. Dodge was no exception and recently launched a social campaign titled #TheMuscleBehindUs. The latest campaign gives the brand’s enthusiasts — commonly referred to as the Brotherhood of Muscle — to recognize essential workers and first responders who are serving on the frontlines of this pandemic crisis.

Members of the Brotherhood of Muscle are encouraged to submit stories and photos of the heroes in their lives that are essential to keeping their communities safe and sound. Submissions are required to use the #TheMuscleBehindUs hashtag. Additionally, Dodge also has a few new TV spots titled “Strength” and “Horsepower” dedicated to recognizing essential workers such as nurses, doctors, grocery workers, utility workers, freight drivers, paramedics, firefighters, and police officers.

“Dodge wants to honor those on the frontlines of this crisis who are working fearlessly every day to protect our communities and the people who live in them. We’re calling upon the Brotherhood of Muscle to tell us the stories of the heroes in their lives who are performing extraordinary work, day in and day out, during this pandemic, and we’ll share the most compelling stories and honor these brave individuals across our social media channels, including a page dedicated to them on DodgeGarage.com,” said Tim Kuniskis, Global Head of Alfa Romeo and Head of Passenger Cars — Dodge, SRT, Chrysler and FIAT, FCA — North America.

Dodge is offering plenty of social content across the board for its enthusiasts, including more than 11 million social media followers. Currently, Dodge is playing a game with its followers titled “Hid the Hellcat,” in which the Hellcat logo is hidden across posts throughout the brand’s social media channels. Additionally, Dodge also committed to compiling its videos of some of the brand’s most thrilling stunts, and creating brackets for its enthusiasts to pick their favorites. Also, Dodge is launching a weekly “How Much Horsepower” quiz, where fans will be shown videos and asked to guess how much horsepower they see in the brand’s many videos across its social media channels. Participants will be eligible to win various prizes and merchandise.

Dodge will continue to roll out content throughout its digital channels from April through the end of August (2020). “Horsepower from Home” sounds like the brand’s best content offering yet, as it features some of Dodge//SRT’s lead interior and exterior designers, along with engineers, live from their garages at home. These Dodge experts will be giving informal and intimate tours of what’s in their garage.
