2022 Mopar Limited Edition Dodge Durango

Mopar recently announced its new limited-run 2022 Dodge Durango, featuring several quality-tested, factory-backed performance parts and accessories from the Mopar Custom Shop. The vehicle made a special appearance at the 2021 SEMA Show in Las Vegas and is set to go on sale in 2022 to coincide with the celebration of Mopar’s 85th anniversary. According to Vice President of Mopar Service, Parts & Customer Care of North America, Mark Bosanac, this limited edition 2022 Durango comes equipped with exclusive Mopar performance parts and accessories. All performance features are developed with the utmost quality and testing procedures and are backed by the factory. This limited-edition Mopar package is only available on the 2022 Dodge Durango R/T AWD (with the Plus Group and Tow N’ Go Package).

Exterior Features

The 2022 Limited Edition Dodge Durango is available in two exterior color options that include DB Black and White Knuckle. Along with the body color, it also comes with a Mopar Blue stripe that runs from the front fascia onto the hood on the driver’s side. There is also a blue “Mopar” front grille badge with blue Brembo-branded brake calipers to match.

Interior Features

There is a unique badge on the instrumental panel that showcases the serialized build number. The seats are fabricated in a combination of leather and suede and there is a two-tone Mopar logo embroidered into the seatbacks. Blue accent stitching is present all throughout the interior such as on the seats, instrument panel, center console, and interior door panels. Other accessories include a Mopar pedal kit and Mopar all-weather floor mats.

Engine and Performance

Under the hood is a 5.7 L HEMI® V8 that produces 360hp and 391 lb-ft of torque via a TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic transmission. With the Tow N’ Go Package, performance is improved and it includes a towing capacity of 8,700 lbs, an increased top speed of 145mph, with the addition of Track, Sport, Snow, and Towing modes. Performance enthusiasts and Mopar fans will enjoy this limited edition Durango because it also comes with a re-tuned SRT-performance exhaust, 20-inch wheels wrapped in Pirelli tires, and a 1-inch lowering kit.

Buying a 2022 Limited Edition Durango SUV

According to Dodge, the 2022 Limited Edition Durango SUV will be available for dealership orders in Spring 2022 with initial deliveries taking place in the U.S. and Canada in summer 2022. However, the production of the vehicle is extremely limited, just 250 units will be made and will very likely sell out fast. (Special note: Mopar says 200 units will be for the U.S. market and 50 units for the Canadian market). The U.S. MSRP for the 2022 Special Edition Package is $3,995 on top of the vehicle’s base price. (Please keep in mind that vehicle pricing is subject to change to accommodate destination fees and optional equipment).  Upon purchasing, buyers will receive an owner’s kit that arrives with a custom-made metal certificate of authenticity (along with serialized number) and a special rendering of the vehicle by the Mopar Design team. Even though this edition is not the SRT-branded Durango, it is still ready for the track with the addition of Performance Pages, SRT performance exhaust, an electronic limited-slip differential, and active damping suspension.
