Jeep Releases Pricing Figures for the New Grand Cherokee L Series
The Jeep Grand Cherokee outgrows its mid-size SUV platform and moves into full-size SUV territory with the all-new L Series trim. The Jeep Grand Cherokee L features three-row seating, an all-new interior, including upgraded high-tech safety and security features. Some of the benefits of owning a new 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L include legendary 4×4 capability, premium on-road refinement, upscale exterior styling, and top-notch craftsmanship of the interior. The L Series Gran Cherokee is being produced at the new Detroit Assembly Complex and is scheduled to arrive at Jeep dealerships by the end of the second quarter of 2021.
Laredo & Altitude
The Laredo trim arrives in an all-new design and comes equipped with many standard vehicle features for a starting price tag of $39,730 for the RWD configuration and $41,300 for 4×4 models (with the addition of destination fees). The Laredo model features a new and spacious interior with premium materials and next-generation technology. Interior features include a standard 10-inch touchscreen in addition to a 10.25-inch frameless digital gauge cluster with two dozen menu options for driver personalization.
The second sibling of the L Series family is the Altitude trim with a starting MSRP of $42,285 (plus destination fee) adding 20-inch Gloss Black aluminum wheels, Gloss Black exterior accents, and a unique seven-slot grille. Other features include remote start, heated front seats, heated steering wheel, wireless charging pad, adjustable height liftgate, wipers with rain-sensing function, a 115-volt power outlet, and USB ports.
Limited & Overland
The Limited trim of the Grand Cherokee L builds upon the Laredo trim and begins at a starting price of $46,830 (plus destination fee) for the RWD model. Upgrading to the 4×4 model is about $1,200 extra but both configurations feature a Pentastar V6 gasoline engine. The AWD models come standard with Jeep’s signature Selec-Terrain Traction Management System offering five different terrain modes that include Auto, Sport, Rock, Snow, and Mud/Sand enabling the driver to have full control of their SUV in various road conditions.
The Overland model starts at a base price of $53,340 (plus destination fee) for the RWD version with the Pentastar V6 engine. Upgrading to the 4×4 model for an extra $2,000 rewards drivers with a Quadra-Lift air suspension that raises the SUV’s ride height for extra off-road capability. There is also a V8 engine option rated at 357hp and 390 lb-ft of torque that enables the Grand Cherokee L to tow up to 7,200 lbs and goes for about $58,290 (plus destination fee).
The Summit & Summit Reserve
Jeep offers a more luxurious driver experience in the Summit Trim of the Jeep Grand Cherokee L with super-premium materials used throughout the cabin. The Summit starts at a price tag of $57,340 (plus destination fee) for the RWD model and about $2,200 extra for the 4×4. For the ultimate Jeep Grand Cherokee L driving experience, the Summit Reserve Trim includes premium hand-wrapped, quilted Palermo leather and ventilated front and second-row seats with memory and massage functions. Cabin materials include open-pore waxed walnut wood and suede-like fabric on the A-pillars and headliner. There are 21-inch wheels that come standard and a 950-watt 19-speaker McIntosh audio sound system.
