Preparing for the Sting of the 2023 Dodge Hornet

As we all wait for the highly anticipated 2023 Dodge Hornet, a few speculations have been made about what we can expect from the vehicle. According to a spied edition of the Hornet (from Car and Driver), it’s been said it’s set to feature a 2.0-liter inline-four engine, and might even come with a Hybrid as we’ve seen in some of the transitional vehicles. A production edition is expected to be ready by the end of this year, which is quickly approaching.
Here’s What We Know so Far
Based on a spied edition of the 2023 Hornet, it’s set to feature a similar engine to the Alfa Romeo Tonale– the 2.0-liter inline-four engine. In addition to that engine, the Hornet might also be offered with a plug-in hybrid engine in the same way that a few cars are offering during the period of transition to EVs. Some speculations have been made that the Hornet could feature an enhanced 270- to 280 HP performance. It’s also believed that the Hornet may have a starting price of around $30,000 (Plus Destination Fee). Although we only have a few bits of information about the coming 2023 Dodge Hornet, we do know it should be a relatively small SUV. It would be a bit smaller than the Durango, which is Dodge’s more mid-size SUV, and it would hold its ground against similar vehicles of its size and price range.
What to Look Forward to
While the final price tag has yet to be announced among other features and interesting quirks the Hornet will come with; we know Dodge will turn out the best vehicle and remain on par with the pricing it offers when released. As the coming months speed ahead, we hope to learn much more about the Hornet in terms of what it will offer and how it will function entirely. There’s a lot to be excited about as Dodge continues to deliver, and we think it might even take some inspiration from the Durango; another incredible vehicle. We hope it comes with similar trims like the SXT, the GT, the RT, and even a Citadel trim!
