Ram Releases the Brand-New 2023 Ram 2500 Heavy Duty Rebel

On September 29th, 2022, Ram Truck released information on the brand-new 2023 Ram 2500 Heavy Duty Rebel during the State Fair in Texas. It is said that this new model will expand the company’s heavy-duty lineup and will offer a special and incredible combination of off-road performance without needing to sacrifice any payload or towing capabilities. This new pickup will be placed between Laramie and Power Wagon, and it will continue to fortify Ram trucks as the leader for off-roading and performance trucks in North America. Ram has a deep, rich, and strong history of the most capable off-road trucks, and the new 2023 Ram Heavy Duty Rebel adds to that history while delivering the segment’s benchmarks in comfort, luxury materials, innovation, and technology.”
About the Powertrain
The Heavy Duty Rebel uses the Power Wagon’s structure and off-road skills as a foundation, while alternately offering something that off-road enthusiasts are always looking for! That is the available 6.7-liter Cummins Standard-Output Turbo Diesel I-6 engine that pumps out 370 horsepower and 850 lb. -ft of torque, along with a powerband that supports ample torque starting at 1,700 rpm. It will also be paired with a 68RFE six-speed automatic transmission when buyers opt for the turbo-diesel option. The standard engine on the Ram 2500 HD Rebel is the 6.4-liter HEMI V-8 that comes with cylinder deactivation and VCT. This pairing puts out 410 horsepower and 429 lb. -ft of torque, all mated with the 8HP75 eight-speed automatic transmission.
The Ram 2500 HD Rebel will be available in a crew cab configuration with a six-foot, four-inch box and will have a suggested retail price of $67,045 (Plus Destination Fee). The vehicle is set to go on sale within the fourth quarter of 2022!
