Ram Unveils Three Special Edition 1500 Models at Texas State Fair
Ram reveals three special edition 1500 pickup trucks at the 2021 Texas State Fair in an effort to capture the attention of would-be buyers. Among the new models are the TRX Ignition Edition, the Longhorn Southfork, and the RED Edition. By introducing these special editions into the market, consumers have more options to choose from when considering driving home a brand new Ram 1500 pickup truck. Each particular edition model offers an exclusive selection of exterior and interior features that stand out from the regular models. The Ram Truck display is available to fair attendees from September 24 to October 17, 2021, at the Fair Park in Dallas, Texas, and can view the pickup trucks in person.
Ram 1500 TRX Ignition Edition
The Ram TRX gets even better with the introduction of the Ignition Edition, which offers performance truck buyers a whole list of exterior upgrades and extra vehicle features. Ram says the Ignition Edition is limited to only 875 units, so potential buyers need to act quickly before they are all sold out. All Ignition editions come with a TRX Level II Equipment Group, an “Ignition Orange” exterior color, exterior vinyl graphics, 18-inch black wheels, a panoramic sunroof, and so much more. On the inside, owners are greeted with exclusive orange stitching and an embroidered TRX logo on the seats. There are carbon fiber accents throughout the dash with orange badging on the center console, including a heads-up display that provides important vehicle information such as speed, incoming phone calls, and road sign recognition. Ignition models receive no changes to the engine. They all keep the same 6.2 L Supercharged HEMI® V8 that puts out 702hp and 650 lb-ft of torque. Instead of adding more horsepower to an already powerful truck, Ram takes the cosmetic upgrades route to offer buyers a more personalized and customizable truck. According to Ram, the Ignition Edition starts at $91,585 (plus destination fee) and is available for sale in late 2021.
Ram 1500 Longhorn Southfork
The second of the bunch is the Longhorn Southfork Edition that replaces the Limited Longhorn 10th Anniversary. It comes equipped with a whole suite of vehicle features such as a multi-function tailgate, a deployable bed step, a metal pedal kit, and Falken Wildpeak all-terrain tires for extra grip and traction while driving offroad. Inside the cabin is an exclusive “Mountain Brown” Interior color and bucket-style seats with suede door bolsters and leather inserts. The Longhorn Southfork Edition has a starting price of $61,620 (plus destination fee) and is available for sale in Fall 2021.
Ram 1500 (RAM)RED Edition
In partnership with RED.org, a global movement committed to ending extreme poverty and disease. Ram pledged to commit $4 million to the Global Fund to help fight health emergencies with RED. All 2022 Ram 1500 Red Editions are part of this commitment, and now consumers can be a part of the movement by purchasing a Red Edition. This model is only available in a Crew Cab configuration in either a V8 engine or an EcoDiesel and features red-colored badging on the exterior and interior. The Red Edition has a starting price tag of $63,250 (plus destination fee) and is available for sale in the fourth quarter of 2021.
