Ram will Reveal New Electric Pickup at Consumer Electronics Show

Ram has been tight-lipped about offering information about its new 2024 electric pickup truck. Still, it is possible that it could be called Ram 1500 REV, with “REV” being an acronym for Range Extended Vehicle. The speculation stems from the fact that Stellantis recently got a trademark filed with the United States Patent and Trademark Office that suggests REV will be the term used about the vehicle. There has been much hype surrounding the somewhat mysterious pickup. However, more details will come to light as soon as it launches on the 5th of January 2023 at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, even if it will only be displayed in concept form. It was a common rumor that the name for the 2024 Ram 1500 electric vehicle would be Ram Revolution, but, as it happens, that was just part of a marketing ploy ushering in the automobile’s unveiling. However, with a new trademark filing, the actual name might be revealed not too far in the future.
Another clue to be gained from the trademark, filed on December 23, 2022, is that it falls under the classifications of land vehicles, specifically passenger trucks. It becomes evident what Ram has in mind for this trademark, depending on the classification. At this point, almost everything is taking place within the field of conjecture, as there is no guarantee that brands can lead to plausible conclusions. Nonetheless, it would be clever for the name REV to be selected because it is both simple and effective, distancing Ram’s electric version from some of its rivals. After all, REV does have the same starting letters as revolution. On the other hand, Ram could conceivably establish its classification for the 1500 electric vehicle, therefore dissociating from other range extenders.

The Ram 1500 REV would have one significant advantage over its competitors with the availability of a range extender. Then again, it could also be surmised that it has less electric power than the battery electric vehicle trim. It could very quickly be a lower-priced work truck trim.

As previously mentioned, details concerning Ram’s latest electric vehicle have been few and far between, but Ram CEO, Mike Koval, has revealed that the Ram 1500 REV will surpass challengers as far as towing is concerned. Stellantis also anticipates the pickup truck will have over 500 miles of range, which would definitely surpass challengers.
