The 2021 Chrysler Pacifica is CarBuzz’s Family Fun Award Winner

December 24th, 2020 by

When it comes to entertaining the whole family, no other vehicle out there does it better than the new 2021 Chrysler Pacifica, according to CarBuzz. The automotive site named the 2021 Chrysler Pacifica model its winner of the 2020 CarBuzz Family Fun award. This makes the Pacifica the most awarded minivan over the last four years, marking more than 140 honors and industry accolades for the model.

“The Pacifica has turned the minivan segment on its head, appealing to a broader range of image-conscious family buyers than ever before. But it’s done so in a way that makes family motoring fun again. The 2019 Pacifica had already im[pressed as a runner-up in last year’s CarBuzz Awards, but meaningful updates for the 2020 and 2021 model years, including the addition of all-wheel-drive (AWD), the ultra-luxurious Pinnacle model and refreshed styling, made the Pacifica impossible to ignore this time around. All-weather ability in the form of the Pacifica AWD, world-beating gas mileage from the Pacifica Hybrid, and the industry’s best infotainment system found in a minivan, courtesy of Uconnect 5, were all key factors in awarding this year’s winner. There is simply no other family car with this breadth of ability, technology, and features, making the 2021 Pacifica a worthy winner in our eyes,” said CarBuzz Managing Editor Roger Biermann.

In addition, the 2021 Dodge Durango — a vehicle from sister brand Dodge — also joined the Pacifica as two of three finalists for the 2020 CarBuzz Family Fun award. The Dodge Durango is frequently considered the no-compromise SUV of the three-row SUV segment as it raises the bar with its aggressive exterior styling, a Challenger-inspired driver-centric cockpit, more performance than ever with six distinct trims: SXT, GT, Citadel, R/T, SRT 392 and the all-new 710-horsepower Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat (the most powerful SUV ever). Five-times-faster Uconnect 5 infotainment paired with a 10.1-inch touchscreen display round out the 2021 Durango.

Family Hauler on Four Wheels: 2021 Chrysler Pacifica

The 2021 Chrysler Pacifica was intentionally redesigned to sport a more sculpted, athletic and modern exterior, borrowing styling cues from highly popular utility vehicles. Additionally, the model’s also full of family-friendly features. Available as an upgrade, the Pacifica’s rear-seat Uconnect Theater offers buyers the best family entertainment in its class, along with the most built-in games. Chrysler added Chess, Chrysler Says, Backgammon, and Concentration to the other nine existing games, including road trip classics such as the License Plate Game and Are We There Yet.

Easily the most technologically advanced minivan in its class, the 2021 Pacifica comes standard with the all-new Uconnect 5 infotainment system that includes the largest touchscreen in its class. Additionally, Uconnect 5 also operated five times faster than the preceding system and it even includes Amazon Alexa capabilities as well. The minivan also boasts new segment-first USB Type C ports that can charge devices up to four times faster than standard USB outlets. There’s also a new FanCAM interior camera that’s convenient for parents who want to monitor child seat occupants in the rear — it includes zoom capabilities. The top-tier Pinnacle trim takes the cake with its integrated Ultra console, premium quilted Nappa Caramel leather upholstery and matching second-row lumbar comfort pillows — a minivan first!

Although the 2021 Pacifica is slowly making its way across dealer lots in the beginning of 2021, that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy what the current model offers now.
