The 2024 Jeep Gladiator makes its grand entrance, setting a new benchmark for midsize trucks worldwide. Revealed at the 2023 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, this latest variant brings a series of enhancements, including sophisticated interiors, a host of safety features, and cutting-edge technology. As the epitome of off-road prowess, the Gladiator continues to be a trailblazer in its segment, providing unsurpassed towing capacity, best-in-class 4×4 payload, and an amalgamation of Jeep’s iconic capability and open-air freedom.

Reworked Fascias

This marks the first major upgrade for the Gladiator since its arrival in 2019, with Jeep wasting no time revamping the pickup truck’s appearance. The contemporary but familiar seven-bar grille was previously adjusted for the 2024 Wrangler, and this truck follows suit. The spacing of the bars is different, with a noticeable lack of any body color in the vertical bars.

The entire lineup picks up LED lighting for 2024, as well as an integrated antenna in the windshield. The automaker has also added seven new wheel designs for 2024, which support 32-inch tires. In addition, consumers will have nine interior colors to select from: Silver Zynith, Firecracker Red, Hydro Blue, Granite Crystal, Bright White, High Velocity, Black, Sarge, and the new Anvil hue.

Trim Level Advantages

The 2024 Gladiator will be offered in Sport, Sport S, Willys, Mojave, and Rubicon trims. The all-new update also brings two additional trim levels to the pickup, known as Rubicon X and Mojave X. These even more assertive packages incorporate modular steel bumpers with integrated off-road cameras, a full-time transfer case, and Nappa leather-trimmed front seats. As a matter of fact, those seats are powered for the first time in a Gladiator and have been tested to withstand treacherous sand or water intrusion.

The Willys trim also comes backed by three different upfit packages provided by AEV, which help transform the vehicle into a genuinely outfitted 4×4. Moreover, every 2024 Jeep Gladiator trim will receive side-curtain airbags across both rows, adding a welcome bit of additional safety. Sport S and higher trim levels will even come standard with forward collision warning systems and advanced cruise control.

Powertrain Dominance

Stellantis does not give the Gladiator the same suite of powertrain options as the Wrangler. With the discontinuation of the 3.0-liter diesel after 2023, the 3.6-liter V-6 is the sole powertrain option available for the new Gladiator. The engine delivers 285 horsepower and generates 260 pound-feet of torque. Although it comes outfitted with a six-speed manual transmission, buyers can opt for an eight-speed automatic if they desire.

The Pentastar might have an old-school approach, but the Gladiator offers best-in-class payload and towing figures at 1,750 and 7,700 pounds, respectively. Courtesy of Dana 44 axles at both ends, the truck provides the Jeep performance enthusiasts appreciate. That includes 11.6 inches of ground clearance and 31.5 inches of water fording capability.

Infotainment Galore

The Gladiator picks up the reworked interior themes from the updated Wrangler, complete with a 12.3-inch infotainment system compatible with Uconnect 5. The refresh accounts for some notable characteristics. For example, the Adventure Guides featuring Trails Offroad system is an integrated trail maps system. The setup replaces secondhand trail applications, containing user-updated information on over 3,000 trails. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard across the board, while a seven-inch digital gauge cluster is available on select trims.

The order books for the 2024 Jeep Gladiator are now open, although the pricing is yet to be announced. The first facelifted models are expected to reach American dealerships by the end of the year (2023). The Jeep Gladiator has forged a legacy that has stood the test of time. It is about time new customers got a sense of what driving or riding in this highly-recognized truck feels like. At Cape Coral Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, consumers can do just that while relishing a new experience.
