It is easy to imagine a world where electric Jeep vehicles roam freely in the wilderness, and the Stellantis-owned automaker has stepped foot in this direction with the all-new Wagoneer S. However, this is not the only fresh product Jeep has presented, as the Wagoneer S Trailhawk concept joined it on May 30, 2024.
OVERVIEW
- Jeep has unveiled the electric off-road-focused Wagoneer S Trailhawk concept.
- Trailhawk concept features unique design elements, new Rock mode, and rugged interior.
- Wagoneer S Trailhawk concept appears to be close to production-ready, suggesting possible production if public reception is positive.
Exceptional Performance
Building on its production counterpart, the Wagoneer S Trailhawk concept features several alterations. Some modifications visually set it apart from the Wagoneer S, whereas others enhance its off-road prowess. Make no mistake, despite its battery-electric nature, the study can venture on many steep paths.
“Like all Jeep brand SUVs, the new 2024 Jeep Wagoneer S descends from a rich heritage and is composed with legendary capability, innovative design and the flexibility to perform at its best both on- and off-road. The Jeep Wagoneer S Trailhawk concept vehicle, built upon the flexible STLA Large platform, showcases what the all-electric Jeep Wagoneer S lineup is truly capable of, whether cornering tight turns with ease or traversing new ground off the beaten path.”
– Antonio Filosa, Jeep brand CEO
The battery-electric vehicle features elements such as heavy-duty tow hooks, a laser-cut aluminum roof rack, 18-inch wheels enveloped by rugged 31.5-inch all-terrain tires, and updated styling at each end. The lift kit allows it to climb over demanding obstacles, and the typical drive modes like Auto, Sport, Snow, Eco, and Sand have received the Rock setting. Moreover, a driver-selectable electronic rear axle locker is on deck.
The Interior of the Jeep Wagoneer S Trailhawk Concept
The manufacturer paid meticulous attention to the brand-new Wagoneer S Trailhawk concept. For example, other than the suspension changes and the visual updates on the outside, the battery-electric study also boasts a modified cabin upfitted for adventure. Here, the brand specifies the meteorite-inspired stone veneer, Mantis Green non-leather synthetic upholstery, dark metallic and red accents, and other appointments.
It is worth noting that the SUV makes do without a yoke steering wheel, as this part has an octagonal shape with grip at the 9 and 3 o’clock positions and a rounded profile for hand-over-hand maneuvering. A grab bar can be seen on the passenger’s side. Moreover, the concept features a large storage bin in the center console, heated and ventilated seats, reconfigurable elastic straps, various USB outlets, as well as a wireless charging pad.
Advanced Off-Road Capability
Jeep has not yet referenced the technical aspects, but according to the car manufacturer, the production Wagoneer S relies on a 100-kilowatt-hour battery pack that enables a range over 300 miles. The battery propels a single electric motor that drives all four wheels while delivering 600 horsepower and 617 pound-feet of torque. It has a 124-mile-per-hour top speed and the ability to get to 60 miles per hour in 3.4 seconds.
That said, considering the off-road-focused nature of the Jeep Wagoneer S Trailhawk concept, it is expected to be a bit slower than its production counterpart. Additionally, it might have a slightly lower range, given that it sports the same powertrain in the same configuration, of course.

As mentioned, the Jeep Wagoneer S Trailhawk is merely a concept, but most of its components seem durable and relatively simple to produce. To that end, in all likelihood, the new study previews a production iteration, as it is challenging to imagine the automotive realm without a battery-electric Jeep that can take on the great outdoors whenever its driver wishes to.
