Why the Dodge Challenger Gets Better and Better
Dodge is pleased to see their Challenger muscle car has not fallen off in popularity, in fact, its more popular than other rivals for the first time. The Dodge Challenger was first brought back for shoppers in 2008, but could not outsell its rival Ford Mustang; that’s until 2021 anyway. The Dodge Challenger ended atop every other muscle car in the segment to finish in first place ahead of the Ford Mustang and Chevrolet Camaro. This is notable as the CEO of Dodge Tim Kuniskis has commented this is expected as the Dodge brand had planned to deal with the chip shortage that hit sales, but worked around the problem. Dodge has placed a massive investment with $22 billion being added into the company. The Ford Mustang peaked back in 2015 and hasn’t kept up with the pieces that have positioned Dodge finally ahead of its most considerable competitor. The rival Camaro barely sold cars in 2021, placing third on the list with less than half what the Dodge Challenger sold.
“That’s why I said we don’t wake up trying to chase Mustang and Camaro. Not that I don’t think they’re viable competitors. They’re phenomenal cars; they’re just different cars. They’re different than what we’re trying to do,” Kuniskis revealed to Automotive News.
Dodge Helps Consumers Who Want To Their Ride Their Way
Dodge is making their business to support their extensive Dodge family, their closest fans, and biggest supporters. The plan is to offer more choices and being able to customize their rides with tons of support by way of new options. Want a unique color? How about an elevated appearance package? There are tons of ways to get the right choice that fits for a motorist. More than just a trim set, the Dodge brand has made customers happy by allowing them to be themselves and design the vehicle they really want. Not to note, the power and handling for the Challenger is more prosperous than it has ever been. Dodge has plenty of decades of experience crafting quick vehicles, some of them were actually banned by NASCAR.
Rivals Are Not Keeping Up With Dodge Muscle
As we can see by the numbers, the Ford Mustang and Chevrolet Camaro do not have as many options and sell less varieties of choices. The “L” or “T” trim from the rival brands don’t really sound as appealing as a “Hellcat Redeye” or “Scat Pack” choice. This is just one of the perks that has kept loyalty among the Dodge brand and its fanatics. While we witness the upcoming EV pledge being constructed for a 2024 model year and production run, we will see Dodge present a new surge of options and alternatives for shoppers to love and welcome.
